The Panthers looked very workmanlike in beating the Jags on Saturday.  Nothing special, just a hard-fought defensive game, which has been a specialty for the Panthers the last few seasons.  Jake Delhomme completed 10 of 18 passes for 129 yards.  Jamal Robertson rushed twice for 29 yards as he battles to make the team.  Nick Goings had a good game, rushing 3 times for 22 yards and also recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for a TD.  Keyshawn Johnson caught 3 passes for 38 yards and Drew Carter caught 3 for 35 yards.

The defense played well holding the Jaguars to 95 yards rushing on 29 carries.  The Jaguars completed 21 of 34 passes for a net of 191 yards passing.  Defensive lineman Mike Rucker returned a fumble 31 yards for a TD.
