Current Panthers odds

Blogged under Bloglockers, Front Page, I'm Feeling Lucky by ravenhater on Tuesday 29 August 2006 at 4:14 pm

The over/under for the Panthers is 10 wins.  The Panthers are currently 8-1 to win the Super Bowl and 13-3 to win the NFC.

My suggestion here is to stay away from the win total, I project them to win 10 games.  I would be more interested in betting the Panthers to win the NFC.  I think you get a little better odds than if you pick them to win the Super Bowl, plus you have to win one less game to win your bet.

They are going to have to beat the Giants for the NFC

The Giants have to have a winning record to even face the Panthers. With the schedule they will be lucky in there first four games to finish 3-4 and hope for no injuries.

I think Dallas and Seattle are bigger threats to the Panthers than the Giants. Eli Manning looked horrible against the Panthers in the playoffs last season, what makes you think he’ll do any better this time?

Hm. Well, hopefully the offensive line can hold up to the Vikings pass rush–more so than they did against the Falcons. They rushed 3 and still managed to do well. With that being said, if Jake has time to throw the ball accurately, we’ll put points on the board.
Losing McCree and Witherspoon hurt our defense, but I still think that Brad Johnson will have a bad day dealing with our DE’s.
