Panthers vs. Saints

Blogged under Front Page,This Week's Matchup by ravenhater on Thursday 28 September 2006 at 9:42 pm

The big question going into this game is if the Saints will have anything left in the tank after their emotional win over the Falcons on Monday night.

The Saints will look to run on the Panthers defense, which has allowed 152.0 yards rushing per game.  RBs Deuce McAllister (218 rushing yards) and Reggie Bush (125 yards rushing, 139 yards receiving) will be testing the Panthers Front 7 early.  If the Saints run well, look for Drew Brees to take some shots down the field for Marques Colston (15 rec, 204 yards), Joe Horn (10 rec, 160 yards) and Devery Henderson.

The Panthers offense looked good last week against the Bucs.  The Panthers will attempt to run a balanced offense against an aggressive Saints defense that is only allowing 266.7 yards per game.  DeShaun Foster will need to have a good game, his 3.4 average will not cut it this week.  The Panthers need to establish a running game to slow the Saints pass rush that already has 12 sacks this season.  Look for Delhomme to take some deep shots with Steve Smith (112 yards rec. last week) and Keyshawn Johnson (16 rec, 243 yards) over the middle.

This should be a great game that could go either way.

All you haters and disbelievers will soon understand.1-2…well WOOPADEEDOO! Started like this last year, and except for losing the running game, Big Cats shoulda had a ring. This team doesn’t look as good as last year’s model yet. If they beat the Saints….and they’re favored to win….I’ll start to believe a little.

If we can shore up this offensive line and keep Jake Delhomme off of his back we win the game. If the offensive line allows NO back all day Jake can’t make good decisions and that will lead to sacks and interceptions. This team is much better than they have played in the last 3 weeks. We have to step it up a notch to have any chance at the divisional title this year!!!

The offensive line looked great against the Saints. Delhomme looked good and the running backs looked great.

Its gonna be a tough one, or thats what I hear. Yea, right. Baltimore aint worth the paper I wiped with, and McNair is what got wiped. 12-4, thats what I believe. Everyone is playing better and yet they’re not playing to their fullest potential. Just enough to get the job done. Lacking D.Williams could prove painful, but my faith is intact. If Philly and the Giants can hold up their end, Big Cats will be in a 3-way for the division. I believe. Either you’re the pisser, or the pissed on…P-sout
