The Panthers have waived defensive tackle Jordan Carstens as he was still having problems with kidney disease.  The kidney disease limited the promising reserve defensive lineman to 1 game and 2 tackles in 2006.  Carstens has played three seasons for the Panthers covering 29 games in which he had 50 tackles, 4 sacks, defensed 1 pass, forced 2 fumbles and recovered 1 fumble.
