The Panthers had a good plan as they wanted to play keep away from the Colts and they possessed the ball for 36:05 of the football game…..but it just wasn’t near enough.  Vinny Testaverde started the game but he didn’t finish as he was knocked out of the game due to an Achilles injury.  He completed 12 of 20 passes for 82 yards with 0 TDs and a INT.  David Carr followed him in the game and he completed 16 of 25 passes for 103 yards.  He also carried the ball 5 times for 21 yards (4.2 ypc).  DeShaun Foster led the way on the ground for the Panthers with 62 yards rushing on 19 carries (3.3 ypc) with 1 TD run.  DeAngelo Williams carried the ball 5 times for 14 yards (2.8 ypc) and he also caught 6 passes for 11 yards (1.8 avg).  TE Jeff King led all Panthers receivers with 10 catches for 82 yards (8.2 avg).  Steve Smith was held to 2 grabs for 18 yards.  The Panthers finished with 108 yards rushing on 33 carries (3.3 ypc) and they also completed 28 of 45 passes for 185 yards.

The Panthers were awful on defense in this game as the Colts rolled up 394 total yards in only 23:55!  The Colts rushed for 131 yards on 32 carries (4.1 ypc) and they completed 15 of 32 passes for 263 yards.
