It’s time for the Carolina Panthers to replace DeShaun Foster as the starting running back

Blogged under Bloglockers, Front Page, General by admin on Sunday 2 December 2007 at 9:50 am

It’s time for the Panthers to make DeShaun Foster a backup running back as he has not played well this season.  Foster has carried the ball 182 times this season for 670 yards (3.7 ypc) and he’s caught 19 passes for 125 yards (6.6 avg) so far this season.  It’s about time that the Panthers made DeAngelo Williams the main ball carrier to see what he can do.  He has carried the ball 79 times for 386 yards (4.9 ypc) with 1 TD run and he also has caught 17 passes for 107 yards (6.3 avg) with 1 TD grab.  After all, the Panthers did spend a first round pick on Williams last season and they need to know if he can handle being the main man or not.
