DeAngelo Williams had a very solid 2nd season for the Panthers. Williams has played in 16 games (0 starts) for the Panthers last season and he carried the ball 144 times for 717 yards (5.0 ypc) with 3 TD runs. He also caught 23 passes for 176 yards (7.6 avg) with 1 TD grab. Williams has now played in 29 games (2 starts) in his NFL career and he has carried the ball 265 times for 1,218 yards (4.6 ypc) with 5 TD runs. He also caught 56 passes for 488 yards (9.7 avg) with 2 TD grabs.
Starting fullback Brad Hoover did the dirty work for the Panthers in the running game last season. Hoover played in 16 games (12 starts) for the Panthers last season and he carried the ball 12 times for 39 yards (3.3 ypc). He also caught 10 passes for 58 yards (5.8 avg). Hoover has now played in 125 games (78 starts) in his NFL career and he has carried the ball 255 times for 891 yards (3.5 ypc) with 2 TD runs. He also caught 135 passes for 984 yards (7.3 avg) with 5 TD grabs.
Alex Haynes made his NFL debut this season but he didn’t get a chance to show much. He played in 10 games (0 starts) last season and he carried the ball 3 times for 3 yards (1.0 ypc). He also caught 3 passes for 14 yards (4.7 avg).
