The Panthers have signed 35-year old to a 2-year contract.  Muhammad returns to the Panthers who he played his first 9 seasons in the NFL for.  He played in 16 games last season for the Bears and he caught 40 passes for 570 yards (14.3 avg) with 3 TD grabs.  He has now played in 172 games in his NFL career and he has caught 742 passes for 9,934 yards (13.4 avg) with 56 TD grabs.  Muhammad will likely be the starting receiver opposite Steve Smith and he’s a tough guy that isn’t scared of going over the middle.  This was a good move for the Panthers.
