The Carolina Panthers lose Maake Kemoeatu for the year
The Panthers have lost starting nose tackle Maake Kemoeatu for the season due to a torn ACL. The 30-year old Kemoeatu was the Panthers’ best run stopper along the D-Line because of his size as he stands 6’5″, 345 pounds. The inside linebackers of the Panthers will likely have to shed more blockers to get to the football this season. Kemoeatu played in 14 games for the Panthers last season and he made 36 tackles, defensed 2 passes and he forced 1 fumble. In three years with the Panthers, he has played in 46 games and made 116 tackles, has defensed 7 passes, has 4 sacks and he forced 1 fumble. This is a huge blow to the Panthers’ defense.
